Walex Biz Farms Commences Commercial Crop Production and Outgrower Programs

The Group's agriculture business has begun mechanised crop production and structured outgrower programs connecting smallholder farmers to processing and export capacity.

ABUJA, Nigeria — September 15, 2026 — Walex Biz Farms, the agriculture business of Walex Biz Group, has commenced commercial crop production alongside structured outgrower programs that connect smallholder farmers to the Group's processing and export capacity.

The company operates mechanised farms producing maize, rice, soybean, cassava, sesame, and horticultural produce, using modern inputs, irrigation, and agronomic practice to achieve yields well above the national average. Its outgrower program provides seed, fertiliser, extension support, and a guaranteed offtake price to registered farmers in its catchment areas.

Walex Biz Farms also operates drying, cleaning, milling, and cold-storage facilities to reduce post-harvest loss, and draws on the Group's logistics, technology, and commodities businesses for haulage, farm management systems, and export.

"Food security is national security," said Efemini Anthony Lucky, Vice President, Business Development & Compliance. "Raising yields, reducing losses, and connecting farmers to markets is some of the most important work the Group does."
